What Is GVOD HD Movie Player?
 Just like QVOD, this is a specialty software that help you to stream and buffer movie files from various movie portals that uses GVOD (Global Video-On-Demand) technology, just so you can enjoy a high quality (HD) video without the typical jerky-intermittent-stopping that is typical of a standard online full length movie such as this one.
GVOD is basically the same as QVOD. Seriously, I don't know what is the difference between GVOD and QVOD yet, technologically speaking (let us know if you do). The only thing I know is QVOD do spam quite a bit of ads into the player prior to showing the movies where as GVOD also does, maybe a little leser but their ads seems to sexier .. you the type that promote wonder bra, Viagra, dick enlarger etc.
In any case, I don't really can't complain about the ads, someone gotta pay for the service, right?
While I am yet to seriously examine how the whole thing works, I basically understand the software is designed based upon the P2P (Peer-To-Peer) technology. In another word, they work best if there is a lot of active participation or in short, the more the audience, the smoother the streaming!
Sharing is after all, a beautiful virtue .. isn't it?
Why Should You Install The Software Now?
You don't have to ... While it's not a must to download and install the GVOD HD Player Plugin Software right away, especially if you don't understand Chinese.
You may skip the installation process now as you can always do it when you are ready to watch a movie. After all, the movie portal will automatically prompt you to download and install the software if you haven't got one.
Just visit any of the video portal that uses GVOD technology to showcase their content such those found on this directory. (please use Internet Explorer [the player only supports IE for now]) and browse through their extensive collections of thousands of HD movies (mainly in Chinese or with Chinese subtitles), and just pick one of movies (streamed through GVOD) you like and then just watch.
As soon as you do that, the player will prompt you to install the GVOD HD Movie Player.
However, I seriously think it's a lot easier for you do it prior to visiting the movie portals because the process itself can be confusing, if not problematic.
Installing The QVOD Player Online
If you try to play a movie at a movie portal that uses GVOD without first installing the plugin software, their portal will prompt you (in Chinese) to do so.
The process is pretty straightforward, you will asked to download the software either from the portal itself or they will offer a variety of links to do so such as this one.
Once you downloaded the software, it basically the same as installation using the software you can download from RastaMonk together with all the rest of the software. I therefore think you might as well do it now. Why wait till you are about to watch a movie?
GVOD Help
GVOD seems to have a larger user base (this is based on the fact that they have a very active forum with large number of 'fans' here) as compared to QVOD which has the most comprehensive help documentation as compared to the rest.

Installing QVOD Player Offline
If you are installing the software prior to visiting the portal, just click to run the software which is available directly from Here.
Unzip the downloaded folder (if it's zipped up), run it and you will asked for permission ... just clicked 'OK' all the way and then you are likely too splashes written in alien symbols (they are actually Chinese characterless and unless you have Chinese Windows installed, Microsoft Windows the world's dumbest operating system simply wouldn't know how to read it, let alone display it properly). Seriously, I am going to install Chrome OS when it's available, I am sick and tired of MS Windows. MS is sicked!
 Anyway, fret not. Just ignore the alien symbols and continue to click 'Yes' or 'OK' ... You may then asked "hey, there is no 'Yes' or 'OK' except 'N'?" Honestly, I am yet to figure it out what is 'N' because the Chinese is illegible and I don't want to install Chinese Windows either, so, I'd just take a guess it's something like "Yes, run it as a NEW (N) installation"? Guess I can't be that far off since that's the default option .. Anyway, it worked after that, so I guess I was right.
Next, there will some legal mumbo jumbo, again in alien lingo. Choose 'A' for 'Agree' and press 'N' (for "Go?")
The next one is little bit more challenging, it has something like "R", "B", "N" written on the buttons, with something "Windows" checked and nothing else. I guessed "Windows" means "Do you thsi player to run when Windows starts?". I don't know but I guess not ... So, I unchecked it and pressed 'N'. And after that, it shows me a directory and asked "Yes" or "No" (amazing). I said yes.
Next, the aliens are back, I went with the default 'I' and it started to install and within seconds, it's all set because it say "F"? I said "F" (for F@ck?), and I am good, all set to go watching a real free HD movie online ... Hooray!
See, installing Chinese software can be challenging and fun .. I am loving it already!
